Fall Community Service Project

This is just a reminder about our Fall Community Service Project.

Highway City Thrift Store “Work Program” allows the needy in our community to help out for a few hours and in return they get 2 bags of food and can work a few more hours for clothing.  They contacted New Covenant because they are in great need of food donations.   I called them and told them that we would be doing a food and clothing drive and they were ecstatic, especially since our goods will be received before Thanksgiving, their busiest time of the year!

We are collecting food, clothing and household items for the next 4 meetings—October through November.  Our last possible day for collections is November 18th!

Things to donate:

Thank you Jonna for being being our liason with this organization. What a blessing you are to me and our team. =) I hope we rock their world! Is the church going to back this with us? That would be really good.

Where do we bring our donations? Do we lug them upstairs or will there be a spot down stairs? Thanks!

we can probably do the same thing here that we did for the READFresno book collection- we should see if there is a spot downstairs to collect things each meeting.
