For the spring semester MOPS has chosen to shower the Pregnancy Care Center with gifts. The Pregnancy Care Centers have been serving the greater Fresno area since 1984. Both centers are Medical Clinics licensed by the California Department of Health. They exist to provide women with the support they need as they face crucial decisions regarding their pregnancy. They offer caring and compassionate help through education, peer counseling practical assistance and referrals. All of their services are free and confidential.
The specific aspect of the Pregnancy Care Center that we are supporting is the Mom Shop. Moms earn credit for the parent classes that they take. They can then redeem that credit for new items out of the Mom Shop. If a mom completes the whole course she can earn enough credit to get a layette for her baby. Also at the end of the course she can earn a car seat. So please join us for the Shower on May 6th. Please also help by bringing a dessert for the dessert buffet!

Country Fair Tomorrow!!!
You’re invited to New Covenant Community Church’s County Fair. We’re all about “GOING BIG” and Easter Weekend is no exception. You think the Easter Egg roll at the White House is a big deal, but it’s got nothing on the NewCov Country Fair. Sure, we’ll have the Easter Egg hunt, and it will be HUGE, but we just can’t stop there. We’re having a full-blown County Fair that will include:
- A Old Fashioned Carnival with Games
- Amazing fair food
- Toe Tapping Music
- And, of course, the Easter Egg Hunt for the Little Kids
So grab the whole family, jump in the car and join us for NewCov’s Country Fair on Saturday, April 3rd from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm right here at NewCov.

Mops 2/16/10 - announcements
Craft night is coming up this Friday (the 19th) from 7-10pm at Jackie's house. Contact her here to RSVP or for directions.
We also have a Moms Night Out coming up NEXT MONTH on the 18th. We will be meeting at Boomers for some good old fashion fun!
Shelley, our speaker, spoke about being a world changing family. She gave awesome examples of what everyone can do to help! Even us with little ones at home, who are wondering how we will make it to the grocery store, much less do anything to help people outside our family. You can read Jackie's thoughts about it, here.
Have a great week!!

Mops 2/2/10 - announcements
Friday February 19th there will be a craft night at Jackie's house. For information, such as her address, you can message her here.
Today Stephanie spoke to us about the five love languages. She recommended a book called "The Five Love Languages of Children" and while the five love languages are the same as the original book (acts of service, physical touch, words of affirmation, gifts and quality time), it talks about how to apply it all to your kids.
Hope everyone had a great Tuesday!

Mops 1/19/10 - announcements
Just in case you missed Mops this morning, here is the recap.
The Titus 2 women at NewCov are needing younger women to join their group. If you are unfamiliar with Titus 2 (in the bible) it talks about the older women coming along side and teaching the younger women. Titus 2 (the NewCov group) meets and teaches sewing. They meet the last Monday of every month, at 6:30pm in room 107. If you have a sewing machine that is easy to transport, bring it, if not, just bring yourself. Learn how to sew something new! Child care is provided.
The pregnancy care center is doing free ultrasounds in February. For information about that, see this post.
At our meeting Jackie spoke about saving money and we passed out a handout from Jessica about all the cool ways she saves money! Then for our craft we made coupon organizers. If you are interested in the craft or handout, they will be available at the next meeting, on February 2nd.
Hope everyone has a blessed week!
